Bomb threat investigated at THS

TAHLEQUAH — Police, fire, EMS and emergency management personnel are on the scene at Tahlequah High School after a bomb threat was left at the site.

Superintendent Lisa Presley said a note containing the threat was left at the school sometime after 3:10 p.m., when the school day ended Monday. Presley said everyone who remained on campus has been evacuated.

Students who were left at school when the threat was made are mostly those who participate in the Boys & Girls Club program, and they were being moved to the nearby middle school at about 4:30 p.m., Presley said, so they can catch a bus home.

Authorities, meanwhile, are investigating the threat.

We'll have updates as available.
