Joshua Schneider in custody

TAHLEQUAH — A Broken Arrow man on the lam for more than a week is now in police custody. Joshua Schneider was apprehended Saturday afternoon minutes after his girlfriend turned herself in. Schneider was located in a wooded area just north of 91st and highway 169 in south Tulsa.

Schneider is wanted for questioning in the homicide of NSU Professor Tiffany Maher. Her body was found inside her Tahlequah home in May.

Tulsa Police used search dogs and its helicopter this afternoon to locate Schneider. OSBI agents are on the scene to interview both Heather Black and Schneider. The two fugitives will be booked into the Tulsa County jail.
