OSBI seeks information in assault of men

TAHLEQUAH — The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is looking for information in the beatings of two Cherokee County men that apparently occurred late last week.

The two men were “badly beaten” either Thursday night or sometime on Friday in rural parts of the county, according to a spokesperson with the OSBI.

The two men are identified as Owen White, 51, and Charles Shade, 49. White was taken to a local hospital and later transferred to a Tulsa hospital, while officers found the injured Shade at White's home on East 765 Road.

The OSBI is asking anyone with information about the assaults, or who saw either man Thursday evening or Friday, to call the agency at 1-800-522-8017, or CCSO at (918) 456-2583.

For more details, see the Tuesday edition of the Tahlequah Daily Press.
