AFTERNOON UPDATE: Johnson ties for 3rd; Tigers tie for 4th

TULSA — Jake Johnson shot a final-round score of 77 and finished the Class 5A state tournament in a tie for third at Tulsa Country Club on Tuesday.

Johnson tied with Bishop Kelley’s Will Murphy for third place.

Johnson’s seven-over-par round came after a 71 and a 75 on his first day of the tournament on Monday.

Bishop Kelley’s Chris Karlovich won medalist honors with a 219.

As a team, Tahlequah tied for fourth with Bishop McGuinness. Both clubs ended up with a 962 after 54 holes.
