Man injured in industrial accident

Ada — An Ada man was seriously injured by flying debris at a local industrial plant in Ada Thursday morning.

Emergency officials were called to Flex-N-Gate just after 8 a.m.

“The employee was hit by a two-and-a-half inch plug that was under pressure,” Ada Fire Assistant Chief Rob Johnson said.

Johnson said the plug hit the victim, Martin Jussely, in the abdomen.

Officials believe Jussely may have suffered internal injuries.

Mercy EMS and firefighters stabilized Jussely and prepared him to fly to an Oklahoma City hospital.

Firefighters and Chickasaw Lighthorse police set up a landing zone in the parking lot at the old Carl Albert Indian Hospital.

Jussely was taken by Air Evac to OU Medical Center and admitted. Jussely's condition was not yet known.
