Enid RadioShack 1st in Oklahoma to refit as new concept store

ENID, Okla. — Enid’s RadioShack is the first in Oklahoma to open as a concept store, and just one of a dozen opened nationwide.

In a news release, the company said that the concept stores have an “upgraded shopping experience” that showcases a new look and interactive features.

Those features include the following:

• A do-it-yourself area to plan projects.

• A wall of speakers where customers can play their own music.

• An interactive display to help customers compare products, including hands-on demonstrations of headphones, RC toys and a GoPro camera display.

The store’s new format opened Saturday. It is located in the Nielson Square Shopping Center, 3426 W. Garriott.

By the end of 2013, RadioShack will have more than 100 concept and brand statement stores open, and will have made improvements to nearly all 4,300 stores throughout the nation, according to the release.

Customers are invited to come see the store and pick up a coupon good for $10 off any $40 qualifying purchase, while supplies last.
