Police: 'Bored' teens killed college baseball player

(Continued)

DUNCAN, Okla. —

Ford said detectives determined that the boys were in a house when they saw Lane leave a nearby home to go jogging.

"It was random," said Ford.

Ford said the shooting has shocked the small town not far from the Texas border.

"I don't think we average one [murder] a year," Ford told ABC. "Basically, we're a rural Oklahoma community."

Details for this story were reported by The Duncan, Okla., Banner and ABC News.
