TAHLEQUAH — “Unto these Hills” is an outdoor drama in the mountains of western North Carolina on the Qualla Boundary, more commonly known as the Cherokee Indian reservation. Produced by the Cherokee Historical Association, the story is of the Cherokee people.

Several roles are available for men and women ages 18-60. The season runs from May 31 through Aug. 16, with rehearsals starting May 11.

There are also job opportunities for some actors at the Oconaluftee Indian Village, which is a re-created Cherokee village of the 1700s-1800s. Here life is depicted as it was through historical interpretation and people in character roles.
