Cowboys shrink in Cotton

Oklahoma State falters down the stretch to lose Cotton Bowl against Missouri

Gundy on question from SI: 'Sweet'

Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy started smiling when a reporter asking a question after the Cotton Bowl identified himself being from Sports Illustrated.

"Sweet. That's awesome," Gundy said.

Gundy then said, "Make sure you document this so you have all your research and your background."

Sports Illustrated in September published a series of stories in which numerous former Oklahoma State players made allegations of wrongdoing by the program.

The question Gundy was asked by SI after the No. 13 Cowboys' 41-31 loss Friday night to No. 9 Missouri was about Tigers backup quarterback. Maty Mauk, who had runs of 35 and 34 yards and a 22-yard tiebreaking TD pass in his lone series in the first half for the Tigers.

Gundy did say the Cowboys were prepared for both Mizzou quarterbacks.
