Oklahoma finalizes football support staff for 2013

State briefs

NORMAN — Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops has made some changes to the OU football support staff for the 2013 season.

Reed Case has been promoted to director of player personnel. Case enters his third season at OU after joining the Sooners in March 2011 as on-campus recruiting coordinator. Case's duties range from player evaluations to scholarship management and the coordination of the recruiting calendar for members of the coaching staff.

Rajeeb Hossain joins the Sooners as director of high school relations. Hossain will work closely with Case and Stoops' coaching staff to develop creative and engaging digital and traditional recruiting materials, in addition to other duties that will continue to foster positive relationships with high school coaches and prospects.

Tiffany Byrd joined OU earlier this year as director of sports nutrition.

Oklahoma State receives 4 ESPN Big Monday games

The Big 12 Conference says Oklahoma State's men's basketball team will be featured in four ESPN Big Monday games in 2014, the most ever for OSU in a single season.

The Cowboys' first Big Monday game will be on Jan. 27, when OSU travels to Norman for the first bedlam matchup of the season. On Feb. 3, OSU will host Iowa State in a Big Monday matchup.

Oklahoma State's game at Baylor on Feb. 17 will also be featured on ESPN, as will the Kansas State at OSU game on March 3.

The Cowboys have played on ESPN's Big Monday game 37 times since 1992, and have been featured at least once in 20 of the last 22 seasons.

OU's only other Big Monday game is Feb. 24 when the Sooners play at Kansas.

The Big 12 released ESPN's Big Monday game schedule on Wednesday.
