Oral Roberts wins Division 1-AAA All-Sports trophy

TULSA — The Oral Roberts University men's indoor track and field team has received the Division I-AAA Athletics Directors Association All-Sports trophy.

The award was announced Wednesday. ORU won it by being the top Division I-AAA finisher at the NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championship meet in March.

ORU finished tied for 25th in the NCAA Indoor meet and was the only Division I-AAA school to finish in the top 30. It marks the second consecutive season that Joe Dial's team has won the Division I-AAA award for men's indoor track.

The Golden Eagles finished tied for 20th at the NCAA Outdoor meet last season, finishing five spots behind UNC-Greensboro for the top Division I-AAA spot in that competition.
