HSCC shelter supply drive continues through month

TAHLEQUAH — Humane Society of Cherokee County is holding its November Shelter Supply Drive.

Donate supplies in the tubs provided for shelter animals at PetSense, Reasor’s, BancFirst in Wal-Mart, and at the Humane Society’s Resale Shop across from Cherokee Nation.

High on the list of needed items is high-quality dog and cat food – dry and pop-top cans. Gas cards are needed for adoption transport, as well as gift cards from area businesses for a variety of necessities.

Those include paper towels, 13- and 30-gallon trash bags, canned goat milk, Simple Green, plastic gloves, laundry detergent, bleach, hand soap and sanitizer, mops, brooms, a step ladder, wheelbarrow, rakes, flat shovels, tarps, zip-close bags, light bulbs, zip ties, hammers, pliers, screw drivers, envelopes, copy paper, stamps, notepads, labels, retractable ball-point pens, tape, etc. Also needed are medical supplies including antibiotic cream, betadine, Revolution Flea Drops and Profender Drops for dogs and cats.
