Holy Week revival at Antioch Baptist

TAHLEQUAH — Antioch Baptist Church is hosting “The Seven Words From the Cross” Revival, Sunday through Saturday, April 13-19, at 320 S. Mission Ave. Guest pastors will be speaking on different topics.

The schedule is: Sunday, April 13, 5 p.m., “Father, Forgive Them,” Pastor Clarence Ashley, First Baptist Okay; Monday, April 14, 7 p.m., “Today You Will be With Me,” Pastor Ted Whitekiller, River Valley; Tuesday, April 15, 7 p.m., “Woman, Behold Thy Son,” Pastor Bill Pettie, Hulbert; Wednesday, April 16, 7 p.m., “Why Has Thou Forsaken Me?,” Pastor Chuck Glass, Bidding Creek; Thursday, April 17, 7 p.m., “I Thirst,” Pastor Andrew Robertson, House of Prayer and Praise; Friday, April 18, 7 p.m., “It is Finished,” Pastor Terry Kirts, Four-Mile Branch; and Saturday, April 19, 7 p.m., “I Commend My Spirit,” Pastor Walter Brown Jr., Gibson Station.

On Sunday, April 20, at 11 a.m., Pastor Vernell Racy will speak about the Resurrection, “He is Not Here; He is Risen.” Sunday school is at 10 a.m., morning worship at 11, and  Bible study Wednesdays at 6 p.m.

    The Cherokee County Arts and Humanities Coalition is accepting donations of musical instruments, fine needlework, quilts, fine art, sculpture, classic and collectible books, fine jewelry, tickets to performances, music and art lessons, pottery and other quality art pieces for their first event, an Art Auction Fundraiser.

    RSVP Muskogee offers opportunities for individuals 55 and older in a four-county area to volunteer at local nonprofits to help improve the lives of the individuals living within those communities.
    The RSVP Muskogee program partners with over 50 non-profits in Cherokee, Muskogee, Sequoyah, and McIntosh counties, and is sponsored by Volunteers of America of Oklahoma Inc.
