Tahlequah Writers distribute Work of the Month

Staff

TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah Writers, a support group for writers, has distributed its March Work of the Month, a short story by Ron Vann, titled “Garage Sales: Yard Sales.”

The story is currently on display at local bookstores, coffee shops, and Spider Gallery at the Cherokee Arts Center.

Spring is a good time for yard sales and spring rains. Vann uses humor to make  the point that garage sale shoppers should shop in the right neighborhoods for the things they hope to buy, and when hosting a yard sale, rain can add confusion.

People interested in submitting one-page written works for possible selection as a future Work of the Month are invited to join Tahlequah Writers at their monthly meetings every third Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Cherokee Arts Center, 212 S. Water St. in downtown Tahlequah.

The next meeting will be Saturday, March 15. Anyone interested in writing is welcome to attend. For more information, contact Karen Cooper at (918) 207-0093.
