Poet laureate to give reading and Boys & Girls Club Market Place

TAHLEQUAH — B&GC schedules Market Place

The Boys & Girls Club 2013 Market Place, which includes arts and crafts and an antique fair, will be held Saturday, Nov. 2, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Cherokee County Community Building.

Booth space is available for $30 for a 10-foot by 10-foot space. Booths can be reserved by calling (918) 931-7490 or (918) 456-6888. The event will also include a raffle drawing, and a concession stand with grilled burgers.

The Cherokee County Community Building is at 300 W. First St. in Tahlequah.

Poet laureate to give reading

Nathan Brown, Oklahoma poet laureate, will be giving a poetry reading Saturday, Nov. 2, at 7 p.m., in the Webb Building on the NSU Tahlequah campus.

The event is sponsored by the NSU Languages and Literature Department, and is free to the public.
