    Summer hours for the Tahlequah Solid Waste Department are effective July 7 through Sept. 12.

    A new state law which took effect on November 1, 2013, changes the dates and times voters have come to expect for early voting in Oklahoma. Now, early voting begins on Thursday and continues on Friday and Saturday.

    Camp Grey Squirrel, which serves children with autism spectrum disorders such as Asperger’s, and their families, will be held this summer.
    Camp Grey Squirrel partners with the United Methodist Circle of Care who provides two campuses and help from the staff.

    The 2014 Lake Tenkiller Poker Run will be held on Saturday, July 26.
    It will begin and end at Cookson Bend Marina on Lake Tenkiller, near Tahlequah.
