Clifton R. Gorton, 61, was driving a 1996 Bluebird school bus with two child passengers. Gorton, Stilwell, was headed east on a county road, and a 1995 GMC Sierra pickup driven by Dana L. Jordan, 36, was headed west. When the vehicles passed each other, the bus scraped the pickup on the side. Zachary Cutis, 13, is Jordan’s son and was a passenger in the truck. Seat belts were in use. The crash occurred 3.2 miles north of Stilwell, and was investigated by OHP Trooper Zachary Woods of the Cherokee-Adair County detachment of Troop C.
