Stimulus money a plus

Editor, Daily Press:
There have been some local complaints about the cost of the Obama administration’s Stimulus Bill.
People don’t seem to realize that some of these funds do impact our local community in a positive way. There are several organizations that receive FEMA funds to help people in Cherokee County. There is a small addition in the Stimulus Bill for these groups this year that will help meet the needs of some area residents who are struggling in this economy.
We should all be grateful that there will be some help for the hungry and homeless. Finances can fracture a family. There will be some relief for victims of domestic violence.
Please don’t say the Stimulus Bill doesn’t affect Cherokee County in a positive direction. You may be looking at your own family’s situation; not all families are alike.
