There is good news from my doctor. I am off my blood pressure medication! Because of the 28-Day Wellness Challenge, I have been encouraged to change my old eating and exercise habits, become more educated, have a plan for my personal health goals, and I can truthfully see and feel the difference as I go about my busy daily life. I got my money’s worth. I am excited.
I worked with a clinical nutritionist to learn about plant-based nutrition and what power-packed sessions we have had. But the study is not quite over. Soon I will see my final bloodwork results.
My class has had 59 participants. However, the general public can participate in a free program to learn good nutrition at a noon meeting on the third Saturday of each month, in the Tahlequah City Hospital cafeteria. The lunch is prepared by the hospital chefs. We eat well. The nutritionist has been using plant-based nutrition to benefit himself, his co-workers, and his patients for more than a year. He educates physicians and nurses, and he talks to clubs and civic groups – that’s how we met.
Congratulations to those 59 participants in the Wellness Challenge. Now, the rest of you, keep your ears open. It will change your life. Stay calm and eat plants!
