CN to be commended

TAHLEQUAH — Editor, Daily Press:

I have to applaud Cherokee Nation’s investment in health care.

As the largest tribal health care system in the United States, the Cherokee Nation’s further investments in health care will result in it becoming a better provider to all citizens in Oklahoma.

Oklahoma citizens deserve better health care options. The Cherokee Nation and Chief Bill John Baker are leading by example and making the kinds of investments all levels of government should be exploring. The tribe’s plan will create new facilities and expand health services.

I commend the Cherokees for utilizing business profits in such a smart way. It is community-focused and raises the bar for health care delivery systems in the state. Wado to Cherokee Nation and its business community.
