Sales tax collections up in area

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sales tax collections were up in Tahlequah and down in Hulbert for December, compared to a year ago.
The Oklahoma Tax Commission report based on October business shows Tahlequah with $536,390.89, compared to $491,669.76 a year ago. Hulbert’s December total was $8,148.18, compared to $8,752.08.
Stilwell had $166139.57, compared to $161,980.07 a year ago. Westville’s total for December $34,478.08 compared to $30,248.79 a year ago. Watts repoted $5,063.02, compared to $,3,050.31. Kansas’ total for December was $12,938.47, compared to $10,672.46 a year ago. Oaks logged $879.02 compared to $840.34 a year ago.
The OTC report also shows Cherokee County with an increase from a year ago. The county received $543,385.96, compared to $496,027.19. Delaware County’s total dropped to $217,402.82 from $218,333.86, and Adair County’s jumped to $55,847.19 from $49,169.02.
