Two Tahlequah men are free on $25,000 bonds after being charged Tuesday with two drug possession counts. David Jermaine Porter, 27, and Austin Gene Frusher, 22, are accused of possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute and possession of a controlled drug. The charges were filed following an investigation by the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics. Several baggies of a green, leafy substance believed to be marijuana, and a white, powdery substance believed to be cocaine, were seized March 3 at an apartment shared by Porter and Frusher. The possession of controlled drug with intent to distribute count is punishable by two years to life in prison and/or a fine of up to $20,000. The possession count is punishable by imprisonment for two to 10 years and/or a fine of up to $10,000. A preliminary hearing will be held later for the two men. OBN agents and an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper are listed as state witnesses Assistant District Attorney Josh King is prosecuting the cases.
