A Locust Grove boy was listed in critical condition Saturday evening after the all-terrain vehicle he was riding was hit by a car southwest of Locust Grove in Mayes County.
Dyllan D. Davis, 12, was taken by Tulsa Life Flight to St. Francis Hospital and admitted with head, arm and leg injuries. He was riding a 2007 Kawasaki ATV north on a county road around 5:20 p.m. Saturday when a northbound 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser driven by Jeff D. Gaffen, 35, was headed south on the same county road and crossed the center line.
The Gaffen vehicle hit the Davis ATV on the right side with his right front fender. Gaffen was not injured.
The crash was investigated by OHP Trooper Colby Overstreet of the Mayes County detachment.
A second crash on U.S. Highway 412 in Delaware County sent Jessie G. Delgado, 24, and Tiffany J. Rozell, 25, to hospitals.
Delgado was admitted to a Siloam Springs, Ark., hospital in stable condition with arm, leg and trunk external injuries. OHP reports state he was pinned 30 minutes in his 2001 Chevrolet Malibu. Rozell was treated at the Siloam Springs hospital for head and arm injuries and released in good condition. She was driving a 2003 Toyota Camry.
OHP reports state the vehicles were just west of Kansas when Delgado’s eastbound vehicle went left of center and hit the westbound Rozell vehicle on the front driver’s side.
The crash occurred at 8 p.m. Friday and was investigated by OHP Trooper Eric Gibe assisted by OHP Trooper Ruben Hernandez.
