Sales tax numbers mixed for May

OKLAHOMA CITY – May sales tax collections are up in Hulbert and down in Tahlequah, a report provided by the Oklahoma Employment Securities Commission shows.
Tahlequah received $511,023.30 in May, compared to $541,232.19 a year ago.
Hulbert’s total for the month that ended Sunday was $7,180.18, compared to $6,627.20 last year.
In Adair County, Stilwell received $168,278.81 last month, compared to $176,644.59 a year ago.
Westville’s May total was $43,843.85, up from $37,648.26 last year, and Watts showed a return of $3,711.05 for May, up from $1,954.71 a year ago.
In Delaware County, Oaks totaled $833.70, down from $1,033.82 for the same month last year.
Kansas had collections of $12,656.76, an increase from $10,534.10 a year ago. Jay’s May total was $73,058.36, up from $64,276.20 a year ago.
In county returns, Cherokee County’s total of $519,525.38 is down from $548,178.99 at the same time last year.
Adair County’s total of $56,357.66 is down slightly from $56,403.92.
Delaware County received $234,263.95, compared to $220,020.17 a year ago.
