Tahlequah police seized a meth lab from the back of a Park Hill man’s truck Wednesday night.
Officer Luke Hixon and Lt. Jonathan Wells found William Eric Creech’s truck behind the Cherokee Nation Courthouse. Reports state CN security officers don’t want vehicles left on the parking lot.
Creech, 22, and a 17-year-old boy were arrested for endeavoring to manufacture methamphetamine, possession of a controlled drug and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Creech was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center on the drugs and firearms charges. The contraband was seized and will be submitted to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation lab for analysis.
Department of Corrections records show Creech has convictions in Cherokee County for possession of controlled drug and concealing stolen property. He is on probation until 2013.
Prosecutors can use the previous convictions to enhance Creech’s punishment on the new case. He will be formally arraigned when charges are filed.
