Workshop to tout strawberries
The Oklahoma Home and Community Education Woodall Club will be hosting a Dipped Strawberries and More workshop on Tuesday, June 23 at 10 a.m.
The workshop will be taught by member Fran Ridenhour and will take place at the Cherokee County Community Building in the conference room.
Information will be shared about the history, lore, and facts about strawberries. About 10 different strawberry dips can be tried and several different strawberry food dishes and desserts will be available for tasting, along with a small recipe book for you to take home.

Kid Connections sets meeting
Kid Connections Inc. will hold its monthly board meeting Tuesday, June 23 at 6 p.m. at 816 S. College Ave.
Anyone interested is invited to attend.
Floral arranging class slated
Monday, June 22 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Josh Cottrell, from A Cowboy Rose, will be at the Tahlequah Public Library demonstrating the art of floral arranging. The class is limited to adults 18 and over, with a limit of 20. Each participant will be taking home an arrangement they have created themselves during the class. All materials are provided. A door prize will also be given away.
Anyone interested can call the library at (918)456-2581, extension 22 or come by 120 S. College to sign up. Library hours are Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Fundraiser to benefit 4-H’ers
The Cherokee County Wildlife Habitat Evaluation Program Team is hosting a fundraising pork lunch Monday, June 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cherokee County Community Building.
The meal includes pulled pork, baked beans, potatoes and a roll, and a dessert for $8.
The team won the state WHEP competition and is now going to compete in the National WHEP competition near Zwolle, La. The proceeds of the lunch will go toward their trip. For more information, call Karen Burson at 456-1847 or Jennifer Havenar at 453-2653.
