Back-to-school issues were the topic of discussion among Keys School Board members June 25.
The meeting was called to order by board president John Rogers.
Members approved meeting minutes for June 1 and June 8.
The board approved accepting bids from Mazzio’s pizza, Davis Oil, and Borden Milk for the school year, 2009- 2010.
Extra duty contracts for the certified and support personnel were also approved.
During an executive session, the board discussed negotiations with the District Association of Classroom Teachers for 2009-’10. After returning to open session, the board tabled negotiations until the September regular meeting.
In a second executive session, members discussed the employment of Nancy Bryan and Robin Gibson for the next school year. This was an action the board actually acted on in the same meeting night, approving Bryan’s employment from a 10-month contract to a full 12-month contract at the same rate of pay.
In other business, the board approved a $5,000 stipend for Robin Gibson for the position of high school vice principal.
