A Hulbert High School baseball coach who resigned earlier this month says he took a coaching position at Muskogee High School.
Scott Sapulpa resigned effective July 2 from HHS, where he was both a coach and teacher.
Sapulpa resigned to coach outside linebackers from Muskogee High School for the 2008-’09 school year.
In his letter of resignation, Sapulpa didn’t say why he was leaving Hulbert, but Wednesday, he dropped by the Daily Press office to clarify the issue.
He also said his record, which was reportedly 3-18, was actually 2-8.
Hulbert School Board members on July 14 hired Todd Scott as Sapulpa’s replacement for the coming school year.
