Published August 08, 2008 09:28 am - Sentence ordered in cocaine deal Press staff reports TAHLEQUAH DAILY PRESS — MUSKOGEE – A federal prison sentence was ordered Thursday for a Muskogee man charged with selling crack cocaine to undercover agents.
U.S. Attorney Sheldon J. Sperling said 23-year-old Sebron DeJuan Brown, also known as Sebron P. Brown, was sentenced for possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute and distribution of cocaine base, also known as crack cocaine. Brown was sentenced to 71 months in prison and 36 months’ supervised release, and or-dered to pay a special assessment fee of $100, said Sperling. Brown pleaded guilty in December 2007. Charges stem from an investigation by an undercover agent from the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics in cooperation with the Drug Enforcement Administration, District Attorney’s Drug Task Forces, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Bureau of Indian Affairs. On June 15, 2007, Brown sold crack cocaine to an undercover agent. On Dec. 17, 2007, a one-count felony information was filed charging Brown with possessing and distributing cocaine base. U.S. District Judge Ronald A. White presided at the sentencing. Brown remains in the custody of the U.S. Marshal Service to begin serving his sentence. Assistant U.S. Attorney Rob Wallace represented the government. This prosecution is just one of over 90 arrest warrants issued in Operation Sixkiller, Sperling said. The task force effort joined 22 local, county, state and federal prosecution and investigative agencies.
