SALLISAW – A domestic dispute Tuesday north of Sallisaw led to the arrest of a man on domestic abuse and drug possession charges.
Shayne Todd Rogers, 36, was booked for domestic abuse, endeavoring to manufacture a controlled drug, possession of controlled drug with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. He’s being held in the Sequoyah County Jail without bond.
Sequoyah County sheriff’s deputies responded to the Sequoyah Memorial Hospital in Sallisaw to take a report on a domestic altercation that occurred at a home north of Sallisaw. Deputies learned there may be a clandestine methamphetamine lab was located at the house.
The District 27 drug task force was contacted for assistance in securing a search warrant for the residence.
Authorities reported finding chemicals and equipment commonly associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine at the residence. Substances believed to be methamphetamine and marijuana were also found along with paraphernalia items.
