School board candidates in Tahlequah, Lowrey, Norwood, Keys, Grand View and Tenkiller will assume their seats without opposition Wednesday as a three-day filing period ended at the Cherokee County Election Board.
Donna Tinnin drew no opponents for the Tahlequah School Board. She will replace Louis White, who chose not to seek re-election.
Garry Million, Douglas Diebold and Daryl Robbins, incumbents at Lowrey, Norwood and Tenkiller respectively, also ran without opposition. Tim Foutch filed to keep his seat at Grand View. Kevin Dudley is unopposed for Office 4 at Keys, and J.C. Ballew, tapped to fill an unexpired term in Office 3, filed to keep the seat Wednesday.
A race in Hulbert will be between Nancy Keys, who filed Wednesday, and Charles Thompson, who filed Monday. Farah Jones, Jay Myers and Phyllis Davis Wheeler will seek office at Briggs. David Sevier drew opposition Wednesday from Jeremy L. Hitchcock at Woodall. At Shady Grove, Elizabeth Col-vin will face Bryan Arnall. Carol Green and Audra Conner will run at Peggs. Marty A. Kimble, Kerri D. Day and Summer Connor Hogshooter are all vying to fill an unexpired term at Grand View.
Candidacies may be withdrawn or challenged until 5 p.m. Friday.
