Tahlequah City Hospital continues to log a considerable amount of charitable care to its patients, board members were told Monday.
TCH CEO Brian Woodliff said the facility provided nearly $870,000 in charitable care for May. According to Julie Ward, finance officer, the year-to-date figure is $3.44 million.
Ward, while giving her financial report to the board, said the hospital has a positive bottom line and is maintaining a good cash balance.
Woodliff took time during his report to the board to comment on TCH’s work with Northeast Oklahoma Community Health Center. NeoHealth has clinics in Hulbert, Tahlequah and Westville.
“We’ve worked alongside NeoHealth for some time now,” he told the board.
Bobbie Davis, chair of the NeoHealth board, and Scott Rosenthal, CEO, were guests at the meeting. Both said they appreciated the relationship between the entities.
