KANSAS, Okla. —
A Kansas, Okla. woman died Wednesday evening after falling under a moving truck.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Linda Jane Vaughan, 58, was a passenger in a 2007 Dodge 3500 flatbed truck traveling on County Road 567, north of U.S. 412, west of Twin Oaks.
The victim and the driver, David Leon Vaughan, 56, were in an argument when Linda jumped from the vehicle and fell into the path of the rear dual wheels, the OHP said.
She died at the scene from massive head and trunk internal injuries, according to the OHP.
The truck was traveling approximately 15 to 20 mph.
David Vaughan and a second passenger, Christopher Dwayne Alverson, 23, of Rose, were not injured.
Troopers said all three people in the vehicle smelled of alcohol, and none were wearing seat belts.
