HULBERT – During Thursday’s meeting of the Hulbert Board of Trustees, members appointed a new library system trustee and passed an ordinance related to police citations.
The board voted 3-0 to appoint Carol Fagan to the Library System Board of Trustees.
Ordinance No. 3, which accounts for the increase to state-mandated fees on citations, was adopted unanimously. By Oklahoma law, traffic fines in excess of $10 must include further penalty assessment fees to the state.
“It raises the maximum fee for citations to $200, not including court costs,” said Trustee George Truitt.
Proposals to perform the audit and fund compilation for the 2012-13 fiscal year were approved unanimously.
During the Hulbert Public Works Authority meeting, members unanimously approved expenses related to the 410 Road project, including $61,260 for labor to Arklahoma Pipeline Inc.; $8,110.70 for materials to H.G. Flake Supply Co.; and $558.48 for an invoice from the Northeast Oklahoma Public Facilities Authority.
Also approved was a bid award for the purchase of natural gas from Constellation.
Proposals to perform the audit and fund compilation for the previous fiscal year were approved without dissent. as was permission for city officials to optionally attend the annual conference of the Oklahoma Municipal League in Tulsa, Sept. 17-19.
The next Hulbert Town Council meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 12, in City Hall on Main Street.
