T-Bones’ in deep debt, files bankruptcy

MUSKOGEE — Chapter 11 bankruptcy documents were filed on behalf of TBones’ Place LLC last week, just days after an announcement was made that the business had been acquired by Orpheum Property Inc.

The bankruptcy documents were filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, indicating the business owes thousands of dollars in back taxes and to creditors.

Arvest Bank filed foreclosure proceedings against TBones’ Place, Charles K. Wilkerson, Katherine E. Wilkerson, and several other defendants last September.

As a result of the foreclosure, Arvest asked for a sheriff’s sale of the property at 10 a.m. last Wednesday, but the sale was recalled when the bankruptcy filing was made about an hour before the auction.

Bankruptcy documents were signed by Tyrus C. Young, who is listed as the manager, and indicate TBones’ is being represented by New Orleans attorney Thomas E. Schafer III.

In a press release earlier this month, Orpheum Property Inc. announced it had acquired the physical location of T-Bones’, along with naming and branding rights, and had formed T-Bones’ Management Co. to oversee the expansion of the brand, including establishment of a restaurant in Fayetteville,
