TAHLEQUAH — Two people were cited for violating a social-host ordinance over the New Year’s holiday after two underage drinkers were arrested.

Tahlequah Police Chief Nate King said officers were called to East Ward when a property owner noticed a fence had been vandalized by people attending a large party.

Two 19-year-old drinkers – Tray W. Fairchild, of Afton, and Bryce Davenport, of Grove – were found at the party and arrested for public intoxication.

King said Davenport was also booked for obstructing after he tried to give officers his brother’s identification.

Police cited the tenants of the apartment, Dakota A. Smith and Jamikel Brooks, both 21, for a social-host violation.

According to King, some who attended the party threw items through a neighboring property owner’s fence, including a gallon of paint and bricks. They also allegedly tore boards from the fence.
