Tahlequah police arrested a man Wednesday morning after he allegedly admitted he took a laptop computer from a woman.
Samuel Crow, 22, of Tahlequah, was arrested for larceny, possession of stolen property, and knowingly concealing stolen property.
Officer Cory Keele met with Nina McNeil early Wednesday morning when McNeil told authorities Crow had taken her laptop computer while he stayed at her home.
McNeil told Keele she received information Tuesday night that Crow was carrying her laptop around at the Cherokee Casino, south of Tahlequah. A person inside the casino took the laptop away from Crow and gave it to McNeil.
Keele and Cherokee Nation Deputy Marshal Preston Oosahwee found Crow, who agreed to speak with them about the laptop.
Crow said he took the laptop at the request of a man he worked for. Crow was unable to provide the man’s contact information, and other details of his story could not be confirmed, Keele said.
Crow was still in jail Wednesday on a $7,500 bond.
Court records show Crow has previous charges of unauthorized use of a vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle, attempting to elude, running a roadblock, assault and battery, possession of a controlled substance, and second-degree burglary.
