Man arrested for gun-pointing

From Staff reports

TAHLEQUAH — Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies arrested a 65-year-old Hulbert man who allegedly pointed a firearm at his neighbor this week.

Robert Terry Wilson was booked into jail on anticipated charges of pointing a firearm. Deputies were dispatched when Daniel Davis said he was out spraying his field for weeds and was confronted by Wilson, who came to Davis’ fence and asked him to stop.

Davis told deputies he continued to spray for weeds, and Wilson went back to his house, then came back with a gun and stood at the fence. Wilson then allegedly pointed the gun at Davis.

Deputies said they made contact with Wilson, and he admitted he had pulled the gun on Davis. Wilson still had the firearm in his overalls, deputies said.
