Man accused of using Texas woman’s credit card

TAHLEQUAH — A Tahlequah man is accused of using a Texas woman’s debit card to purchase items at a local tobacco shop.

Daniel Roy Vaughn, 27, is charged with unauthorized use of a debit card, a felony.

According to Tahlequah Officer Brad Robertson, Tiffany Wilson was visiting Tahlequah in late October when she lost her debit card. When Wilson returned to Texas, she found her card had been used at Atwood’s, Walmart, Sonic, Taco Bell, and Willy and Billy’s Tobacco Shop in Tahlequah.

Police reviewed transaction documents and noticed $153 had been charged at the tobacco shop. Police were able to obtain surveillance footage from the business, and also spoke to employees who identified Vaughn as the suspect who had used the card.

A judge has issued an arrest warrant for Vaughn.

Court records show Vaughn was charged earlier this year with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
