Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Wagoner County man Saturday after he was allegedly caught stealing tires from a car in the Hulbert area.
Deputy Michael Cates responded to Meadowlark Lane and found Kevin L. Fossett, 32. Fossett allegedly admitted he had taken the tires and placed them inside his vehicle, but claimed the tires were his.
During a pat-down, Cates found a syringe in Fossett’s front pocket, the deputy reported.
Fossett allegedly admitted he smoked methamphetamine the previous day. He also claimed there was nothing illegal inside his vehicle.
Cates said he conducted a search of Fossett’s vehicle and found a small pouch that contained two loaded syringes underneath a seat
A blue pen was found next to Fossett’s vehicle, and Cates said the pen contained a plastic bag with a white, crystal-like substance inside it.
Fossett was also allegedly armed with a bayonet that had about a 14-inch blade, Cates said.
Fossett was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center for knowingly concealing stolen property, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of paraphernalia.
