Burger King, 2407 S. Muskogee Ave., is more famously known for its Whopper sandwiches.
However, even people who want to try to eat on the more healthy side are welcome to stop in at this fast food giant.
When I went there, I ordered the veggie burger meal with a side salad and a medium drink. The veggie burger is not a vegan meal, but it’s nice to know that one of the fast food giants thinks enough about vegetarians that it is willing to try to cater to them.
The veggie burger meal costs $4.79, and instead of ordering french fries or onion rings, they will allow customers to substitute with a side salad, which includes carrots, lettuce, tomatoes, croutons and crackers.
Of course, there are the typical meal deals that are very popular among the lunch crowd, including the Whopper meal; Whopper Jr., for those who want a bit of a smaller burger; and the new BK Steakhouse burger, which includes Angus beef, American cheese, A1 steak sauce and onions. Customers can get an almost unlimited number of meal deals with their sandwich.
The restaurant also has a large following with the kids of the area. The playroom, with its numerous tunnels and places to crawl around, is a big attracton for both kids and parents.
Burger King has a separate room for parents who want to have private birthday parties with their kids.
While the kids are playing around in the playroom or just chowing down on some french fries, they can also pretend they are the king or queen by putting on one of those novelty Burger King crowns.
Burger King is open until around midnight and opens at about 6 a.m. with its breakfast menu that includes an omelet sandwich, cheesy tots and french toast sticks, among other menu items.
Deserts, for those with a sweet tooth, features shakes, dutch apple pies and sundaes, with Hershey’s chocolate or Oreo cookies.
On the kid’s meal, there are hamburgers, grilled cheese sandwiches and different kinds of juices, among other menu items.
