Fino's: Good food in a delightful atmosphere By BOB GIBBINS Staff Writer TAHLEQUAH DAILY PRESS — If you’re in the mood for some good Mexican food that won’t hit you too hard in the wallet, let me suggest Fino’s Mexican Restaurant, 2203 W. Choctaw.
Fino’s has been a Tahlequah favorite for years, offering up burritos, tacos, chimichangas and other delicious entrees. The restaurant also features a daily special that many regular customers know by heart – and those who don’t soon will when they enter and sit down to enjoy their meal, because it’s printed on cards on every table. A quick scan of the restaurant’s interior may make some visitors feel like they’re in Mexico, with all the regalia. While you’re waiting for your meal to be prepared, Fino’s offers you some of the best chips and dip around to snack on. If you don’t like the red sauce they serve with the chips, simply ask for white dip or queso. I guarantee at least one of the dips will suit your fancy. On my last visit to Fino’s, I ordered a burrito, taco and rice and beans. You can get water, tea or a soft drink to wash that good food down, and I chose a Coke. The burrito and taco were filled with chicken. Beef lovers can order the same meal. I always leave Fino’s feeling full in a good way. The chimichanga is another favorite of mine, and is also usually served with rice and beans and dollops of sour cream and guacamole. They also offer lighter items like taco salads and other favorites for the smaller appetite. The staff is friendly and always welcomes you back to Fino’s. Try it next time you’re in the mood for some good Mexican food in a delightful atmosphere.
