PEGGS – An investigation was still pending Saturday into the cause of a crash that sent six people to the hospital Friday morning.
Jennifer Ellen Nofsinger, 34, Abigail Thibodaux, 11 and Allison Nofsinger, 4, were all eventually transferred to St. Francis Hospital. Jennifer was transported by Eagle Med to the Tulsa hospital and was admitted in stable condition with a head injury.
Allison was in good condition with a head injury and Thibodaux was in good condition with a leg injury. Both children were initially taken to Tahlequah City Hospital.
The Nofsingers are Pryor residents and Thibodaux is from Chouteau.
Jennifer was driving a 2007 Pontiac south on State Highway 82 when her vehicle struck a southbound 2001 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Teresa Ann Rogers, 38, in the rear.
Rogers, of Locust Grove, was taken to W.W. Hastings Hospital and treated for a leg injury and released. Savannah Rogers, 14, was also taken to Hastings and treated for head and leg injuries and released.
Emily Rogers, 13, was treated for a leg injury at Hastings and released.
Matthew Rogers, 11, Megan Rogers, 3, Jonathan Rogers, 8, and Annarose Rogers, 1, were not injured.
After the Nofsinger vehicle hit the Rogers vehicle in the rear it crossed the center line and hit a northbound 1999 Ford Windstar van driven by Katheryn Marie Catron, 39, of Stilwell.
Catron, Christina Catron, 17, Elizabeth Catron, 16, and Allie Ramirez, 4, were passengers in the Catron vehicle and not injured.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports state Jennifer Nofsinger’s condition was unknown and an investigation is pending as to that and the cause of the crash.
The condition of the other two drivers is listed as apparently normal.
Everyone involved was wearing a seat belt or in a child restraint.
The crash was reported at 9:46 a.m. Friday 13.7 miles north of Tahlequah and investigated by OHP Trooper Joseph Couch assisted by OHP Trooper Shawn Cummings, Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies and Peggs firefighters.
