Watts woman injured in crash

WESTVILLE – A Watts woman was listed in stable condition Tuesday evening in a Arkansas hospital after being involved in a single-vehicle crash near Westville.
Charlesa Hartshorne, 17, was driving her 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt east on a county road when she overcorrected causing the vehicle to cross the road and striking the ditch. The vehicle rolled once coming to rest on its top.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports list the cause of the crash as unsafe speed on a curve or turn. She suffered head and trunk internal injuries.
The crash occurred 3.9 miles north and 4.3 miles west of Westville.
Hartshorne was wearing a seat belt. The air bag didn’t deploy. The crash was reported at 4:06 p.m. and investigated by OHP Trooper Steve Meridith.
