NSU baseball splits with Lions

Lindenwood scored nine runs in the first four innings and bookended another 11 in the final two frames to take the 12-run victory.

Nathan Prindle went 2-for-3 with five RBI and two runs scored for the visitors. Colton Moore was 4-for-4 and scored five times. Lindenwood outhit NSU 17-7.

Bendan Kleekamp (2-4) scattered seven hits across seven innings, and he earned the win after allowing eight runs. He also struck out nine and walked four. Alex Erb threw the final two innings for the Lions and did not allow a hit.

Juniors Cody Robinson and Kyle Singleton both hit home runs for Northeastern State and finished with three runs batted in.

Senior Frank Sprick (2-3) started the game and lasted just two innings after allowing seven runs on six hits. NSU went through five pitchers total, with junior Addison Williams seeing the most productive time on the mound. He threw 3.1 innings in relief and allowed just one run on two hits. He also struck out five and walked just one.
