Jones, Rockmore named preseason All-Americans

Langston Jones and Joel Rockmore were both named 2013 USA College Football Division II Preseason All-Americans in a release by the organization. USA College Football is a division of the USA Football Network, Inc., and covers the sport at the small college level on a nationwide basis.

Jones, a senior linebacker, led the MIAA and finished 10th in the nation at 11.0 tackles per game last season. He also registered 11 tackles for loss, two sacks and an interception.

Rockmore, a junior running back, finished as the second-leading rusher in the league and 23rd in the NCAA at 113.8 yards per game. He was also 22nd in the nation at 151.4 all-purpose yards a game. This all came after he rushed for just 13 yards in the season opener and missed the second game of the season due to injury. He recorded six 100-yard rushing performances in the final eight games of the season, including a 198-yard explosion in the season finale against Central Oklahoma.

Rockmore was the only running back in the MIAA to be named to any of the three preseason teams or the honorable mention list.

Both Rockmore and Jones were named to the All-MIAA Second Team a year ago. They were both also named to the Don Hansen All-Super Region Three Third Team.
