Cody Robinson’s bat helps RiverHawks split with Central Missouri

First game: Central Missouri 3, NSU 1

Central Missouri plated runs in the fourth, fifth and seventh innings to win the opening game of the series.

NSU’s lone run came via a Robinson solo home run to left field in the fourth inning.

Jake Heissler (3-1) picked up the win for Central Missouri. Heissler, who struck out eight and walked none, allowed one run on five hits.

Bryce Davenport (0-1) was saddled with the loss for NSU.

The RiverHawks and Central Missouri will be the third game of the four-game set on Friday at 2.
