Price paces field after opening round

ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The Northeastern State women’s golf team sits in second place after the first day of the MIAA Fall Preview Tournament held at Whitmoor Country Club.

The RiverHawks carded a 30-over-par score of 314 in Monday’s opening round to sit nine strokes behind Central Oklahoma (305), the No. 8-ranked team in the nation.

Augustana College is a stroke behind NSU at 315.

NSU freshman Baylee Price fired a 1-over 72 and leads the tournament by one stroke over Bethany Darrough of Central Oklahoma and Kanyapak Sethasompobe of Minnesota State.

Northeastern State will compete in the final round Tuesday.
