Mary Alice Ishcomer was born on Jan. 17, 1955, in Tahlequah, the daughter of Buck Ervin and Lois Nofire-Ishcomer. She attended school at Northeastern State University.
She worked as a customer service representative and florist. She enjoyed working with people. She was quick to smile and make you feel at home when you were around her.
When she wasn’t working, Mary Alice was involved in church activities and was a member of Living Hope Baptist Church in Tulsa. She liked to curl up with a good book or making flower arrangements. She was blessed with a wonderful sense of humor and loved to spend time just talking with people and friends.
She was an avid fan of any music from the ‘60s and especially liked the groups the Beatles and Paul Revere and the Raiders.
She was always ready to spend time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She simply adored them. It didn’t matter if it was a holiday dinner or just a sunny afternoon get-together, she couldn’t wait to see her family.
The Lord called Mary Alice home from her labors on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, in Tulsa. Mary Alice was 58 years old. She will be missed for all the love and happiness she brought to her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her mom and dad, Buck Ishcomer and Lois Ishcomer; her great-niece, Amanda Nofire; her high school sweetheart, Jonathan Hiram Jake, and one nephew, Justin Case Mann.
