TAHLEQUAH — Graveside services for Bert Lee Smith will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at the Tahlequah City Cemetery, with Revs. Jerry Henson and Jayare Fields officiating.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 26, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Green Country Funeral Home. Arrangements have been placed in the care of Green Country Funeral Home. Online condolences may made at tahlequahfuneral.com.

Bert Lee Smith was born Aug. 27, 1948, in Muskogee, to Melvie (Mannon) and Adrian Smith. He passed from this life on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at his residence in Park Hill, at the age of 64.

Bert was a 1966 graduate of Porum High School. On Aug. 2, 1991, Bert married the love of his life, Patty Qualls in Fort Smith, Ark. He retired from Georgia Pacific as a machine operator and worked part-time as a bus driver for the Indian Capital Technology Center.

Bert was an outdoorsman; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling and loved to go riding his motorcycle with Patty.

He was a devoted family man, loving husband, father and grandpa.

Bert was preceded in death by his parents, Adrian and Melvie Smith; and siblings Maelea Brashears, Annuella Carter, and Adrianna Calhoun.

He is survived by his wife, Patty, of their Park Hill home; sons, Michael Smith and wife Sharon of Muskogee, Brandon Qualls and wife Sabrina of Park Hill, and Bryan Qualls and wife Sasha of Hulbert; daughter, Angie Cline of Fort Gibson; 13 grandchildren; siblings, Charles Smith, Pearl Farrar, Lavada Hall and Adriane Smith; special aunt, Wanda Kirk; cousin Karen Taylor; and many other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
